What medical aesthetic services are available at Zen Med Spa Aesthetics and Regenerative Medicine?
Our team is pleased to provide advanced aesthetic spa solutions for patients to improve their appearance and self-confidence. We offer the following services:
- Botox injections – when it comes to forming dynamic wrinkles and folds on the face, patients will find that nonsurgical solutions such as Botox injections may be the right solution to achieve a youthful appearance. Botox is a medication that can reduce muscle contractions, smoothing the skin where dynamic wrinkles form: between the eyebrows, on the forehead area, and around the eyes as crow’s feet.
- Dermal fillers – alternatively, patients might consider hyaluronic acid injectables designed to add volume right where they are needed. These can plump the lips, add volume to the cheeks and cheekbone area, or fill in wrinkles and folds throughout the face.
- Medical-grade chemical peels – chemical peels are a great way to achieve complete skin rejuvenation. These treatments are designed to thoroughly exfoliate the skin, eliminating dead skin cells and stimulating skin cell turnover. This can erase the signs of aging while improving skin texture and tone.
- Hair thinning and loss treatments with PRP – using one’s own platelet-rich plasma, our doctor can reinject into the scalp to treat hair thinning and hair loss. This is an all-natural alternative to undergoing hair transplants and can help many patients in restoring hair and hair thickness.

Medical Aesthetics FAQs
Has your doctor recommended medical aesthetics? You may wonder what this involves and whether it’s necessary. Zen Med Spa Aesthetics and Regenerative Medicine takes patient education seriously, and we are always delighted to keep our clients informed to ensure you are well-educated before proceeding with any treatment. Keep reading the FAQs section below to learn more about medical aesthetics.
What is medical aesthetics?
It’s a branch of medicine that improves the aesthetics of your appearance with minimally invasive medical treatments. Unlike plastic surgery, medical aesthetics doesn’t involve aggressive procedures like liposuction and facelifts. This treatment uses conservative treatments like Botox to make a few tweaks in your body, but the results are dramatic—both physically and confidence-wise.Â
What are the most popular treatments in medical aesthetics?
Some common medical aesthetic procedures include:
- Botox treatments:Â Injecting Botox products in the face reduces the appearance of crow’s feet, wrinkles, and fine lines by temporarily freezing muscle activity. Botox results in a youthful-looking appearance, although you need retreatments every three to four months
- Dermal fillers:Â This treatment “fills out” wrinkles and fine lines by injecting hyaluronic acid, which attracts water to the patient’s skin. A dermal filler is a gel-like substance injected into the target areas to plump up the skin, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours
- Chemical peels:Â This anti-aging treatment involves applying a chemical solution to the skin to eliminate compromised outer layers to pave the way for smoother, better-toned skin
- Laser therapies: The doctor uses a laser or intense pulsed light (IPL) to address various skin concerns, including pigmentation, fine lines, unwanted hair, and acne scars
- Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy: PRP involves using your own blood components to curb hair loss and thinning. Injecting PRP contents in the scalp is a minimally invasive alternative to hair transplant and is effective in tackling male pattern baldness by preventing hair loss and stimulating hair growth
How long will my treatments last?
It all depends on the treatment administered. Since medical aesthetics treatments aren’t permanent, most treatments last 3-24 months before you need a touch-up. Although the duration doesn’t seem durable, it’s actually a good thing. Let’s explain.
Your skin is constantly changing as you age. In contrast, permanent treatments don’t change in tandem with your skin changes. Permanent treatments look beautiful initially, but the results may look unnatural over time as the face evolves. We offer products that break down after some time, after which you’ll need retreatment to address skin issues.
Are there risks involved in medical aesthetic treatments?
All medical treatments have inherent risks, but the risk involved in medical aesthetics is minimal since the procedures are conservative and don’t always require anesthesia. However, to be safe, we always examine your overall health to ensure the procedures don’t pose any risk.Â
Additionally, we only have the procedures administered by a qualified doctor. Our office has been clinically trained to observe all the safety protocols for a safe outcome. Plus, our office is equipped to handle medical emergencies should they arise.
Do medical aesthetic treatments have side effects?
Because of the non-invasive nature of medical aesthetics, expect little to no side effects. And when you experience downtime, this only lasts a few days. The common side effects of medical aesthetics include:
- Discomfort at the treatment site
- Swelling
- Mild headaches and nausea
- Bruising or skin redness
- Rashes or itching
The above symptoms are expected after a cosmetic procedure, but if you experience increased or prolonged discomfort, inform your doctor.Â
Are there age restrictions for medical aesthetic treatments?
Most of the treatments are recommended for persons aged between 18 and 65. However, age alone isn’t the only factor we consider to administer treatment. During an in-person consultation, we’ll conduct a comprehensive exam to determine your suitability for the procedure.Â
What is the cost of the treatments?
Since treatments vary, the costs vary, too. However, our treatments are affordable because they involve a few tweakments—not an overhaul like plastic surgery. To learn the cost of your procedure, schedule an appointment with Dr. Ahmadur Rahman today. Â
